For years, the Netherlands Bach Society has traditionally given Lamentation Concerts: intimate concerts in the early morning of Good Friday and Holy Saturday, prior to the St Matthew Passion.

For this 2021 edition, some wonderful six-part lamentations from the Flemish Carolus Luython were dug up from the archives in Prague by alto Michaela Riener.
