The background

Leipzig Bach Festival

Every year in June, the city of Leipzig is home to the Bach Festival – a big international music festival focusing on Bach. Our ensemble was on the programme for 2020, but the whole festival has been moved to 2022 due to the corona crisis.

with the popular cantata Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott“

Under the motto Bach - We are Family, Bach societies and ensembles from all over the world have been invited to perform. The thread running through the festival is a complete performance of all the chorale cantatas by Bach, which he based on well-known hymns. In this cycle, the Netherlands Bach Society is giving one of the big concerts in the St Nicholas Church, which includes the popular cantata Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott. Besides the Bach Festival visitors, we also want to treat our Dutch audiences to this magnificent music!

Our concerts in Naarden and Utrecht are available in a subscription. Please contact our Ticket sales & information department.
